VoiceLab Studio is an iPhone app for recording, importing, tuning, processing, previewing, and exporting vocal audio. This page is written to describe the app behavior as implemented, but it is not legal advice.
Information We Handle
Audio and project files
The app can record microphone audio, import audio through the iOS document picker, create processed vocal files, create mix exports, and save project metadata. These files are stored in the app's local document storage on your device unless you choose to share or export them through iOS sharing.
Audio analysis and rendering are performed through the app's native vocal processing module. The current app code does not upload your recorded or imported audio files to a cloud audio processing service.
Account information
If you sign in, VoiceLab Studio uses Firebase Authentication. Depending on the sign-in method, Firebase may process your email address, user ID, display name, Apple identity token, and authentication state so the app can identify your account.
Usage limits
The app uses Cloud Firestore to store monthly usage counters tied to your Firebase user ID. These counters can include projects created, processing runs, exports rendered, the active usage period, and timestamps. This is used to enforce free, pro, and max subscription limits.
Subscription data
VoiceLab Studio uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, restore purchases, show paywalls, and check entitlement status. RevenueCat may receive your app user ID, purchase status, entitlement status, product information, and, when available, your email address.
Device Permissions
- Microphone: used to record vocal takes.
- Document picker: used when you choose an audio file to import.
- Sharing: used when you choose to export or share an audio file through the iOS share sheet.
How We Use Information
- Provide recording, importing, tuning, effects, preview, and export features.
- Keep your local projects and audio files available inside the app.
- Authenticate your account and support password reset or Sign in with Apple.
- Manage subscriptions, entitlements, usage limits, and purchase restoration.
- Maintain app security, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse of subscription features.
Sharing and Third Parties
VoiceLab Studio does not sell your personal information. The app relies on Firebase for authentication and usage counters, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Apple for App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple, and iOS system services for file picking and sharing.
When you use the iOS share sheet, you choose where an exported audio file goes. That destination is controlled by you and by the receiving app or service.
Retention and Deletion
Local project and audio files remain on your device until you delete them in the app, remove the app, or clear the relevant device storage. Account, usage, and subscription records may remain with Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple as needed for account operation, legal compliance, purchase restoration, and fraud prevention.
Children
VoiceLab Studio is intended for users who are old enough to manage an App Store account and create audio content lawfully. The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
- You can deny microphone access, although recording features will not work without it.
- You can choose not to import or share audio files.
- You can manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can use the support contact listed on the App Store page to request account or privacy help.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The last updated date above shows when this page was most recently revised.
